Charlie and the Chocolate factory is a very good movie. It has no enduring themes, no spiritual overtones, very little death and destruction, and good wins over odd in the end (but its close). Charlie represents Charlie, Willie Wonka represents how we all feel about children sometimes if we're honest. (Veruca Salt: "My name is Veruca" Willie: "I don't care") After The Longest Yard and War of the Worlds I was ready for a movie that was entertaining, had something of a plot and gave my family a fun time out from the real world. My goal is to find a situation this week in which I can use this line, "I don't see how that could possibly make any difference."
