    Easter at Seacoast

Easter is always an amazing weekend when you work for a church; this was one of the most amazing I've experienced in my 25 years of ministry. Only time will tell the long term impact, but for today it was a blast. Here are some numbers and pictures which tell at least a part of the story.

    Numbers:

    • 14,121 people
    • 34 services
    • 27 hours
    • 12 campuses
    • 3 states

    More numbers:

    • Over 520 people in the first ever service at Seacoast James Island
    • Over 1600 people in Summerville in their brand new building
    • Over 1300 people in West Ashley even though they birthed the James Island campus
    • All time record attendance at Columbia
    • Over 400 in North Charleston even though they couldn't have a service start after 9:30
    • 175 in Greensboro!
    • Amazing attendance at LPR, Irmo, Greenville, Asheville and Savannah

    Images

    • Dragging every chair we could find into the Chapel for the 8:00 a.m. service
    • Talking with Nate Davis back stage at James Island about the last time we opened a campus on Easter (the annex). He was the worship leader there too.
    • Watching volunteers scramble to find chairs, stools and anything flat for people to sit on for the James Island service.
    • Thinking the Summerville campus had someone in an Easter Bunny costume only to realize it was a sweet little white-haired lady wearing a white coat and pants. (Oops)
    • Standing in the sound booth at Summerville watching people cram into ever nook and cranny of the beautiful new building. Some people even sat on the floor in the front.
    • Greg exhausted in the "bullpen" after the 4:30 service this afternoon. It took a Diet Mt. Dew, a Claritan and a can of Red Bull to get him enough energy to make it through his seventh live service in 2 days.
    • Going from classroom to classroom watching children of all ages hear about the greatest day in history.
